Australian opener Travis Head became the number one batter in the ICC T20 rankings on June 26, overtaking India's Suryakumar Yadav.
Suryakumar had held the top spot since December 2023, but Head's excellent performance in the T20 World Cup pushed him to the top, even though Australia's team has been knocked out.
Head scored 255 runs, including two half-centuries, with a top score of 76 against India in the Super Eight match.
Head has 844 points, just two points ahead of Suryakumar, who now has 842 points and is in second place. However, Suryakumar has a chance to regain the top spot as India's team is still competing in the T20 World Cup.
England's Phil Salt, and Pakistan's Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, are also in the top five batters.
West Indies' Johnson Charles has moved up four spots to enter the top 10, while Afghanistan's Rahmanullah Gurbaz has moved up five spots but is just outside the top 10.
Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah has climbed 44 places to reach the 24th spot, while spinner Kuldeep Yadav has moved up 20 places to 11th.
Axar Patel, an all-rounder, is now ranked eighth and is the top Indian bowler.
England's Adil Rashid is still the top-ranked bowler, with Afghanistan's Rashid Khan moving up to second place. Josh Hazlewood has moved up three places to fourth, behind Hasaranga.
Marcus Stoinis has dropped from first to fourth in the all-rounder rankings. India's Hardik Pandya is now third, Afghanistan's Mohammad Nabi is second, and Sri Lanka's Wanindu Hasaranga is back at the top.
West Indies' Roston Chase has moved up 17 places to 12th among all-rounders.
