Political Career

Savitri Jindal has been active in politics for many years. She was elected twice as an MLA from the Hisar constituency in Haryana. Her first win was in 2005 as a Congress candidate, and she was reelected in 2009. In 2013, she served as a minister in the Haryana government under Bhupinder Singh Hooda.

In 2024, Savitri Jindal filed her nomination as an independent candidate for the Hisar seat in the Haryana Assembly elections. Despite previously campaigning for her son, Naveen Jindal, who is a member of the BJP, she clarified that she is not part of the party.
