Lakshya came back after losing the first game to win 19-21, 21-15, 21-12 in a little over an hour.
Lakshya is now just one win away from securing a medal in his first Olympics. He is the only Indian badminton player still competing at the Paris Games. Other Indian players, SatwiksairajRankireddy and Chirag Shetty, lost in the men’s doubles quarter-finals, and two-time medalist PV Sindhu was eliminated in the Round of 16 in women’s singles.
