The movie Devara: Part 1, starring Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan, and Janhvi Kapoor, started advance ticket sales in North America last week. Tickets for the premiere shows in the USA were available a day before the movie’s release on September 27. So far, the movie has made over $1 million in advance sales.
The official social media account for the film shared that it has crossed $1 million in pre-sales and posted a new poster showing Jr NTR in two roles. They also claimed this is the fastest $1 million in pre-sales for any Indian movie in North America. The movie’s premiere in the US will be on September 26.
The film's trailer was released in Mumbai, where Jr NTR met with other celebrities and worked on a promotional video with Alia Bhatt and Karan Johar. The video, called "Devara ka Jigra," is coming soon. Jr NTR and his co-stars Saif and Janhvi also promoted the movie on TV shows.
In Devara: Part 1, Jr NTR plays Devara, Janhvi plays Thangam, and Saif plays Bhaira. The film also stars Prakash Raj, Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, and Narain. It was originally planned as a single movie but is now divided into two parts. This is Jr NTR’s first movie after the hit film RRR, and Janhvi’s first Telugu film.
