Good news: The first part of the movie is fun, silly, and full of sparkle. Bad news: The second part is full of sighs and moans, which ruins the mood. Overall, the movie is a mix, breaking the important rule of romantic comedies: always keep the laughs coming.

Ranveer Singh perfectly plays a Delhi boy, just like in his previous movies. In "Bad Newz," the food rajma is important because, as a character says, "For Punjabis, rajma is not just food, it's an emotion." Ranveer now faces competition from Vicky Kaushal, who plays Akhil Chadha. Akhil is always on his phone and answers his mom's calls immediately, even on his honeymoon, making his girlfriend Saloni feel ignored.
"Bad Newz" comes five years after "Good Newwz," a movie that challenged Bollywood’s usual ideas about parenthood and legacy, focusing on IVF and sperm sample mix-ups. "Good Newwz" was groundbreaking for its honest portrayal of new mothers' struggles.
In "Bad Newz," the story involves one mom, two potential dads, and twin embryos. There’s a real condition called superfecundation, where this can happen. The movie shows Saloni, a top chef, dealing with her pregnancy while balancing her career dreams. We know who will be the real dad long before the movie ends.
If "Bad Newz" had stayed funny throughout, it would have been great. Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri have great chemistry, with Kaushal being funny and Dimri shining in a lively role. Ammy Virk, who plays Gurbir Pannu, is less prominent.
There are also minor characters like an aunt, a doctor, and a real-life actor playing herself, but they don’t add much to the story.
Despite the script focusing too much on Akhil, Kaushal's performance is delightful from start to finish, especially his dance moves.
